We are doctor Silke Steyaert and doctor Nadescha Logist and both graduated as general practitioners at KU Leuven.
As a general practitioner, we want to be a doctor for the whole family. From young to old, everyone can come to us.
Consultations are possible in Dutch, French and English.
Preventive Consultation
We want to see all our patients healthy, which is why we aim to pay even more attention to preventive medicine, in order to prevent certain diseases from occurring.
From now on, you can schedule a preventive consultation when booking your appointment. During this consultation, we take the time to calmly review your health status with you.
Here are some examples:
- Complete clinical examination, including blood pressure measurement
- Review of your medication list
- Blood and urine analysis as needed
- What is the state of your lifestyle?
- Preventive screenings for breast, colon, cervical, and prostate cancer
- Screening and treatment of osteopenia and osteoporosis
- Are your vaccinations up to date?
- Screening for sexually transmitted infections
An additional consultation may be necessary to discuss results or to plan fasting tests.
Anyone wishing to get a complete overview of their health is welcome. With the right advice and tips, we help you take control of your health. Because as you know, prevention is better than cure.
Measles Vaccination
Measles is one of the most contagious diseases and can have serious consequences, both for children and adults.
- Born before 1970: you have probably been exposed to the measles virus and are protected; vaccination is not necessary.
- Born between 1970 and 1985: you were probably not vaccinated against measles.
- Born after 1985: you may have received one or two doses of the measles vaccine.
To be properly protected against measles, two doses of the vaccine are necessary. You can check this in your vaccination booklet or on the website myhealth.be.
People who are not or only partially vaccinated are welcome to visit us. We provide the measles vaccine free of charge to anyone born after 1970.
